Since August 2007 Foreground have been developing relationships with social agencies to ensure that all aspects of the community, including those who have little access to the arts, are able to enjoy Intervention/Decoration.

Working with partners including the Frome Locality Team and Christchurch Key Centre, the community programme will create substantial opportunities for collaboration and participation designed to develop understanding, self-esteem, and strengthen community integration.

The community programme includes discussions and practical workshops around the exhibition’s themes for groups and extended projects led by regional artists working with small groups of people as creative collaborators to build a shared sense of achievement in the artistic process. The programme will work with diverse groups to explore ideas of public space, community and personal responsibility.
